Chicago-based photographer and educator Audrey Woulard has spent more than two decades building a career around distinctive, light-driven portraiture. Best known for her work with teens and families, Audrey has gained international recognition for a style that combines strong composition, intentional use of location, and a seamless blend of natural light and off-camera flash. She is a Nikon USA Ambassador and has been commissioned for commercial work for brands including Pottery Barn and IAMS.
Audrey’s work has appeared in People Magazine, InStyle, Better Homes and Gardens, Professional Photographer Magazine, and Senior Style Guide. She is also a longtime photography educator and speaker, presenting at major industry events including Imaging and WPPI, where her classes have regularly drawn capacity crowds. In 2021, she received the Vanguard Award from Professional Photographers of America in recognition of her impact on the photography industry.
Through her Light Exposed Workshops, Audrey teaches photographers throughout the United States and internationally how to better understand light, location, composition, and the decisions that shape an image before the shutter is pressed. Her approach is rooted in the belief that strong photography doesn’t require a perfect location or complicated setup, but rather an understanding of light, the tools available, and how to use them intentionally to create work that feels distinctly your own.
