This video tip features Brandon from Westcott and it shows two easy methods on how to fold a reflector. The first method Brandon will show is referred to as the “Twist” and this is done by taking the reflector on opposite corners and twisting the reflector until it naturally folds up. The second method shown in this video is the “Taco” method and this involves folding the reflector in the shape of a hard shell taco, then continuing further until the reflector folds into itself. It is very important to fold a reflector properly because if the reflector is twisted, folded, or pulled in the wrong way, it can actually bend the frame of the reflector. Both of these methods are easy to complete and you will never have a frustrating folding experience again!
Westcott reflectors come in a variety of fabrics and sizes. A reflector is referred to by some photographers as the most valuable piece of equipment to have in their photo bag. 5 in 1 reflectors have the ability to not only reflect light onto the subject, but also diffuse light, and subtract light. Thank you for watching!
