His obsession with photography began as a hobby with his first camera at 11 years old, and was focused mainly on nature and macro. As his obsession grew, so did the scope of his work, from Macro to Astro-photography and most genres in between. This eventually led David to his work as a photographer and lighting consultant for a well-known photographic lighting manufacturer, before finally launching full time into his own growing photography business.
Over the last several years, David has devoted a portion of his time to his passion for sharing his ideas and techniques with other photographers. Delivering workshops and seminars around the country, his straightforward and entertaining approach to creating stunning photos has been warmly received by beginners and pro’s alike.
To add to his educational endeavors, in 2010 David released “Location Lighting with Speedlites,” his first in a developing series of “How-To” style DVD’s. Produced during an island bikini shoot, the DVD details a lightweight and portable approach to capturing publishing quality photographs on location. This video offeringโsponsored by Tamron, Pocket Wizard and Expodisc, and featuring the use of some Westcott modifiersโhas been very well-received selling in more than 15 countries.
