Team Westcott sent portrait and wedding photographer Benny Migs the Westcott Rapid Box in return for a product review. And that’s exactly what Benny did in this Real Deal Review video. Based in Long Island, New York, a majority of Benny’s shoots are on-location. This working photographer appreciates the Rapid Box’s simple set-up and quick tear-down abilities. The 26″ Rapid Box Octa utilizes an umbrella style system that allows on-the-go photographers the ability to quickly open and collapse the modifier.
The Rapid Box’s speedlite mount is located on the outside of the softbox, a feature that Benny also enjoys. Using the Nikon Creative Lighting System, Benny needs a line-of-sight from camera to flash to enable proper firing. The Rapid Box accommodates for this type of speedlite. He also comments on the Rapid Box’s durable construction, the optional beauty dish feature, and the great catch light created in his subject’s eyes.
