Portrait Shoot with Speedlites and Apollo Strip

For this portrait shoot, Bob Davis had two speedlites in Group B manual mode 1/8th power with the flash heads manually zoomed to 200mm. One camera left and one camera right. The main speedlite was in Group A with the flash head manually zoomed to 200mm.

The Apollo Strip is a light modifier used in this portrait shoot and is built on an umbrella frame making it very easy to setup. It measures 16″ x 30″ and gives off a rectangular catch light in your subject’s eyes. All of the Apollos include recessed edges which helps give a more directional light source, and limited loss of light. For more direct lighting, the Apollo Strip can be combined with an optional 40° grid to precisely focus the light.
